Shaq tried to go unnoticed in downtown Toronto. It didn’t last very long

It’s not easy being 7’1” and famous.
Legendary basketball player and sports commentator Shaquille O’Neal (commonly known as Shaq) was spotted lurking at night in downtown Toronto, sporting an oversized hoodie and black sunglasses in an attempt to go incognito.
“Let’s see who will notice me,” Shaq said into the camera in a video posted to social media on Sunday.
He takes a few steps, crossing Fort York Boulevard to reach Hunters Landing before a man walking by casually says “What’s up, Shaq.”
His friend asks to take a photograph, Shaq takes off his sunglasses and asks, “How did you know it was me?”
“I- I-,” the man stutters to respond before pleading, “C’mon, dog.”
“I didn’t have my disguise right,” Shaq said as he walks away from the interaction, attempting to go incognito once again, this time throwing his hood on too.
“Feels pretty good when people don’t know who I am,” Shaq said into the camera. “I like it.”
Shaq was in town for a DJ set at Rebel on Sept. 28, under his performing name “Diesel” and as the keynote speaker for the Keyspire real estate investing conference — but, he’s no stranger to Ontario. He was spotted in cottage country earlier this year in August.
